If the Black Rainstorm Signal is issued before the opening hour of the MTAC, the venue will be closed and remain closed if the warning is cancelled less than two hours before the normal closing hour. The venue will be opened as usual within two hours after the warning is cancelled. 

If the Black Rainstorm Signal is issued during the opening hours, the venue will remain open, except the Community Garden cum Roof Garden. 

If, on grounds of safety or operation needs, venue staff consider inappropriate to open the Community Garden cum Roof Garden for public use, the staff can exercise discretion to close the facilities.  Under adverse weather conditions, visitors are advised to enquire of venue staff about the opening arrangements in advance before visiting the Community Garden cum Roof Garden.

If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued before the opening hours of the MTAC, the venue will be closed. 

If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued during the opening hours of the MTAC, all facilities will be closed.  All activities scheduled on that day will also be cancelled. 

After the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above/ the Pre-No.8 Special Announcement (an advance notice that a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is expected within two hours) is issued, the MTAC will be closed.  For enquiries, organisations with booking of facilities can contact Wan Chai District Office by telephone at 3422 3068. 

The MTAC will be reopened within two hours after the cancellation of the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal, while the Community Garden cum Roof Garden on R/F will remain closed.
